Mixing Drinks?!

Question:

Mixing Drinks?

Why is it when drink like 3 rum and cokes, you are not as "buzzy" as if you drank 2 rum and cokes and 1 vodka and coke. I mean all 3 drinks are say 80 proof. So why is it that when you mix up your drinks, you get more of a buzz?
Or like if you drink 3 diff beers, like a coors, a bud and a miller.
You would get a bigger buzz over drinking 3 coors. I mean say all the beers were the same 6 point alcohol...

Just curious...

Answers:
I have never had this happen to me. When I mix alcohol that is just asking for a hangover (for me anyway). As far as the beer goes, I think that is all in your head. I rarely drink beer, but when I was younger, I did. Coors never gave me a buzz, it tasted like water. Try Sam Adams or Sierra Nevada Pale Ale or Gordon Biersch. You will never drink Coors again.

I look forward to what anyone else has to say on this.

There really is no difference. I will have to do an experiment, but this is probably just you thinking you are more drunk. Try measuring the amount of alcohol and drinking the same amount over the same time period. It will be the same.

For me different alcohols affect me in different ways. Like beer, hard liquor, champagne, and wine, I get a different buzz or effect depending on what I'm drinking.
