The Irish say a shot of whiskey before bed will curb a cold. The Russians say a shot of vodka.
Eitherway the alcohol might kill a few germs and it will help you sleep which is the best cure for any illness. Feel better
Back in the old days they used to tell you to drink a hot toddy when you were feeling sick. Whiskey, lemon juice, honey all heated together. I don't think a shot or two is going to make your cold worse. However, I would not recommend a night of heavy drinking if you are feeling under the weather. The two don't go together.

Yes, of course...especially if you are fighting a cold!
I don't think it will worsen it. Don't get drunk. But a drink should take the edge of and help you sleep.
