Is it true that the liver produces its own alcohol?!

Question:

Is it true that the liver produces its own alcohol?

Why it damages the liver when you drink it?

Answers:
I'm trying to remember correctly, but the liver does produce an alcohol.

The reason alcohol affects your liver is that alcohol, among many other things, are processed and filtered through the liver. Think of the liver as a larger strainer. When too much goes through over time it deteriates and destroys the liver.
