For those who know wine?!

Question: My uncle bought a Spanish Gran Reserva wine that was aged a minimum of two years in oak barrels in 1991 since then it has then been in a bottle up until today.

My uncle bought it in 2001, I was also wondering what the price he got it was, he said around $100, is that a decent price?

Also since it is about 16 years old, what would be the price on this wine today?

Gran Reserva is usually aged 5 years. (Sixteen years may be beyond the pale. . . . ) Quality of your bottle depends on whether it was kept at the correct temperature and humidity level. Only way to find out is to uncork it. Enjoy!

what winery????? need to know the brand
i believe they are about $20 for new release

Rioja is the type of wine.

Check the label, does it say "Marques de" or "Bodegas" anywhere? There should be a winery or producer name somewhere prominent on the bottle.
