Wine of Champagne for new year eve?!

Question: And which kind, year would you suggest?

To hell with tradition as my dad says. I would drink whatever you like. Guests on the other hand might like to have it so get them shampoo, I mean Champagne and just about anything would do. Asti-Spamanti is fine for me or a slightly dry white wine..... ;)
I hate that expensive Don P., (no offensive please to anyone, but I've tasted it, not worth the fuss thanks) but some think it is good, it is just expensive.

champagne its better than wine

I have found that not many people really like Champ. and wine is preffered

Champagne is the traditional New Year's Eve midnight toast, and the better quality you can afford, the better it is. Those cheap brands are fine for one sip, but ...

Better to splurge on a bottle of something decent. You don't have to get Dom Perignon, but since it's only once a year, maybe something a little nicer than that $4-a-bottle stuff at the grocery store!

What brand to get is up to you and what your taste preference is. They vary from sweet and fruity to very, very dry. If you don't drink it all, seal it tightly and it will stay bubbly for a few days. After that, it will lose its charm in a hurry! Happy New Year!

Dom Perignon

A civlised sherry dear.

Come midnight ,champagne, Perrier Jouet or Mumms

sparkling rose for me.

Champagne is better to have for new years eve. I would recommend Martini and Rossi 's Asti, that's the best champagne I had ever had. MMMMMM!!!!

Wine with the meal, and Champagne with the chimes!

Roederer Crystal. Simply the best! We sold our business early this year and invested some money with an excellent wine trader, Berry Bros. and are now going to reap a little of that investment tonight! Good luck, health and happiness to all of you and a very Happy New Year!

I LIKE CAVA ITS JUST AS GOOD AS PROPER CHAMPAGNE.

Krug or Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin.
