How to make a cheap, but good, alcoholic drink??!

Question:

How to make a cheap, but good, alcoholic drink??

I love fruity mixed drinks but they can be expensive. Does anyone have a good recipe for an inexpensive yummy drink??? Thanks!

Answers:
Well, if you are making it at home, then the cost goes down dramatically. If you are ordering it from a bar, they like to raise the cost on so-called "fruity" drinks, even though they sometimes do not have anymore alcohol than a standard drink.

If at home, try inexpensive light-colored alcohols (e.g. rum or vodka) with any sort of mixture of fruit juices. Mixing with orange and pineapple juice is a nice mainstay, especially with genadine in it (if you want to spring for that). Cranberry juice and even cream of coconut can go far. You can also get fresh fruits or even canned pineapple and throw them with the liquor, juice, and ice in a blender and come out with some nice mixtures.

If at the bar, try to order "fruity" drinks that only have one liquor in them: (frozen) screwdriver, daquiri, or just tell them you want light rum with O.J., pineapple juice, and sprite or something like that. You can specify the mixture of non-alcoholic fluids to your heart's content, just only ask for one type of liquor to keep the price down. Also, some bars charge more for frozen or blended drinks, so check first.

Enjoy!

Used to be a bartender.

all you need is wine and a little sprite or even flavored seltzer...yummy and refreshing

I recommend a drink that sounds expensive, but has really cheap ingredients.

Cosmopolitan
1oz Vodka (The girls I make it for really like Smirnoff=about 11 dollars a bottle.)
1 oz Triple Sec (2 to 4 dollars all around)
4oz Cranberry Juice (Ocean Spray runs about 3 dollars)
Dash of Lime Juice (Lime juice or limes will run a dollar)

You can make fifteen to twenty of these fancy cocktails for around 16-18 dollars. If you want cheaper try this one

Jungle Juice
1-2 oz Vodka or Rum (Burnetts vodka is between 6 and 7 dollars a bottle, same with montechristo rum.)
8oz Fruit juice from a plastic gallon jug. (If not from a drug, then it is not as good.)

Trust me, it works. Add some fresh fruit if you want in a big pitcher.

Cheap drinks are easy, if you have any favorite liquors, wines, or beer, it all can be made into a cheap fruity drink. Luckily fruity drinks are always the cheapest...

Mix blue maui schnapps with Mt. Dew.

Slow screw --Mix OJ, slow gin, and some powdered sugar together. Tastes like hawaiian punch.

Fuzzy Naval --Peach Tree Schnapps with OJ.

Frozen slow screw-- make Orange Julius and add in some slow gin.

Here try this its a non-alchoholic drink.

1/2 cup of gingerale
1/2 cup of sprite
1/4 assorted candies melted (its easy)
pink colouring...its soooooooooooooooooogood

Vodka and orange juice
peach schnapps and orange juice or lemonaide
vodka with clamato juice(grocery store-tomatoe juice but spicer*
rye and coke or rye and gingerale

Here are a couple of yummy drinks that is easy to make and will not break the bank

Fizzy Sour Cherry Lemonade
2 pounds fresh or thawed frozen sour cherries (2 quarts)
2 cups fresh lemon juice
1 1/2 to 2 cups superfine sugar (just throw the sugar in your food processor or blender for a couple of seconds)
3 cups white rum
4 to 6 cups chilled sparkling water
Blend & Strain

Red Devil
Komocozi & Alabama Slammer combined
(Alabama Slammer).5 oz each of Slo Gin, Vodka,Triple Sec, Southern Comfort, Lime juice, OJ & Gernadine

This drink will cost you a little bit at the liquor store, but will last a long time, and will satisfy that sweet tooth. It's called an Alabama Slammer.

1 bottle Amaretto (as cheap as 6 bucks on up)
1 bottle southern comfort (12 bucks for 80 proof, 14 bucks for 100 proof)
1 bottle sloe gin (8 bucks)
Orange juice or punch

Mix 1 ounce of each liquor with as much O.J. as you like for preferred strength. I'd recommend 6 ounces of O.J. to start, and adjust from there for stronger or weaker. Pour over ice....tastes like fruit punch. You can even adjust the O.J. to make a shooter (just use 1 part of each liquor to only 1 part of O.J.).

You'll invest neighborhood of 30 bucks, but it should be a very long time before you need to replenish your supplies.

gin and juice, thunderbird and juice thats mad cheap b

vodka+redbull
=]

not exactly fruity, but it's pretty good
