What temp does vodka freeze at???!

Question:

What temp does vodka freeze at???

our freezers at work go to neg 36 is that cold enough?

Answers:
Alcohol does freeze; however, it's freezing point is at -117 celcius as appose to 0 for water.

The main reason is bonding of the hydrogen atoms inside water. This causes the molecules to attract to one another to a greater extent and thus are easier to 'freeze'.

not sure bout vodka, but i do know for a fact Peach Schnapps doesn't freeze in the freezer lol* i keep the glass bottle in the freezer at home and when I fancy a cool refreshing drink...i reach for cold peach schnapps and lemonaide*/or orange juice..a few ice cubes and Yummmmmm* :)

I didn't think that Vodka will freeze unless you mix it with something.

it's basically impossible to freeze vodka (or any stright alcohol) under nonclinical conditions. Temps for freezing alcohol would have to be approx -150 farenheit. No matter how cold your Kenmore gets you can't get it down that low. Mix it with Jello though for Jello shots if you need something solid.
