How to drink Wine/Liquor?!

Question: Yeah, I've seen people drink wine/liquor as if they are drinking water! But how do they (or you people out there) drink it so enjoyably?

I find it rather bitter and usually takes a loooong-time just to finish. How do I actually become like one of you people out there? Drinking and enjoying it?

It's an acquired taste! Give it time.

very , very slowly

Wine almost always is consumed for taste and typically with a meal, so the natural penchant is to sip and enjoy the flavor. You can still get a buzz, but tends to be minimal.
On the other hand, liquor has much higher levels of alcohol than wine ( usually 40% vs. 13%) and the chance for getting inebriated is more apparent. The vast majority tend to use liquor in the same manner as weed, to get high, but through trial and error find a stable point where they can get the buzz, but not suffer the consequences. At this point, they realize that there is a taste to be savored, hence slowing down the rate of consumption, still getting a buzz, but not the after effects.
