Avoiding drunk drivers tonight!?!

Question: If I am driving home from a party tonight what would be the best time to leave (after the ball drops, of course) to avoid all of the drunk drivers??

b/t 12:30a and 1:00a. We own a bar and it seems the biggest rush to pay their tabs is from 1:00a-1:30a. But many people start drinking early. The best way to avoid drunk drivers is to stay home.

Sadly, I don't think there IS a best time.

Just pray.

after 5am once ball drops there is not a great answer, but bar close at 2

I'll hafta agree with what mrjon912 said. Sad but true.

I don't think there is any best time to leave during this festive occasion. By this time (after the ball drops), I believe there are only a handful who are sober.

i would suggest get a taxi at least you are insured for an acciddent

i don't think there really is a safe time to avoid drunk drivers. If you wait till very late then most likely the people who are driving are people who have been drinking all night so . . . I'm not really sure. I don't think most people leave right after the ball drops so if you wanted to leave that early and get home safely then you could or you can get a cab or a ride home from a friend.

12:30

Be prepared to leave at 12:10, no later . say your goodbys and go. Most people will not leave that early as they will want a drink to toast the New year.

Stick to the routes that are most likely to be patrolled.
If your city is anything like ours last night, the police will be out in force.
