Question about reaction to wine???!

Question:

Question about reaction to wine???

Sometimes when I drink wine I get a really intense heart burn feeling in my upper stomach area right below my ribs. I can drink the same kind of wine the next night and not have that reaction so I am totally confused. Does this happen to anyone else and what could be causing it and how do I stop it? Thanks!

Answers:
I get this reaction with white wines or champagne (high acid), so I avoid them. Sometimes reds bother me, also. I take a heavy swig of antacid before I start. And allow time for the antacid to act. Have a glass of water, and give the antacid time to coat the stomach.

its usually caused by sulfites which are found in some wines and it can cause heartburn gas etc... im no doctor but this is what i heard.
