Someone translate this German Liquor for me please.?!

Question:

Someone translate this German Liquor for me please.?

I just found a bottle of liquor my sister gave me. I had forgotten about it. The problem is, the label is in German. Can someone translate this for me: Danziger Goldwasser Edelliqueur.

And if anyone knows what it might taste like, that would be a nice help too.

Answers:
Well Danzig is an old German City today it is polish
(Gdansk). "Lik?r" means in German that it is an alcoholic extract of herbs. In former times they took the French word Liqueur. Wasser means water. The use of water in conjunction with alcoholic drinks means that it is clear. It has no colour like whiskey for example. In this liquor are swimming very thin plates of gold ( In former times they believed that gold and silver will strengthen the pharmaceutic power of the drink. The origin of Danziger Goldwasser was in the 16.
century). Edelliqueur means noble liquor.

How it tastes? Don't know. In my live I have only bought a bottle for a jewish friend who flight before the Nazis to Sweden. I have never tasted it. But I guess like "J?germeister" but this is not water it is not clear.

try german liquors.com

tatse it and see if its good :) its somethin somethin liqueor

Danziger Goldwasser Edelliqueur

The first and last words don't translate so it's:
Danziger cold water Edelliqueur

Danziger Goldwater Nobleliquor.

Sorry I never had it before.

danziger or danzig is where it comes from (gdansk, poland)
golwasser is an herbal liqueur with real gold flakes in it. it tastes sort of like orange schnapps

This should be sufficient....

Danziger means made in Danzig, now Gdansk-Poland.
Goldwasser means gold water.
Edelliqueur means noble liqueur.
It's expensive and has gold flakes floating around in it.
If I remember correctly it has a slight orange flavor and you are supposed to also drink the gold flakes that are floating in it .
There you have it.

The literal translation is "Golden Water - Fine Liquor from Danzig (city)".

It is sweet - would say it tastes of sugar. Kinda nice, but I was not overwhelmed. Pretty strong. The unusual thing about the liquor are the small golden leaf parts in it. So you actually drink gold, when you have a sip of Danziger Goldwasser.
