Americans - a double question for you ? are you on the slope of alkoholism-snobism ?!

Question: and why are hangovers such a thing about which everybody must speak ?

Isn't that somewhere the effect of a very clever spirits-marketing ?

You're from the UK and your English is this bad? It's hard to even make out what your question is, perhaps you're lost within the belief Cockney speech extends across the pond. Either way, whatever impression you get of what the "perception of alcohol" is in the USA from reading what is on here, I can assure you it's not how it is in real life. This Q&A is full of kids and born again preaching yahoos (no pun intended), hardly the normal, drinking crowd. People are asking about hangovers today... do you really need to be told why?

----------
the "noise" is kids massively over reacting because they do not know any better, depending on where they live they may be forced to take classes on drugs & alcohol (ie linking them) so they associate it with being bad, essentially a scare tactic to prevent them from drinking at young ages. Obviously this is a touch warped, the truth would better serve them, ie drinking is fine and drinking does not make you bad, nor does a hangover make you an alcoholic. As for the people calling people alcoholics left and right and telling them to find god... those people are beyond repair, don't fret we keep most of them in utah, sadly they do have internet access.

either way, do not confuse this "place" as a reasonable "pulse" of what's going on or reasonable perceptions (outside stated state of utah)

Why is this question directed at only Americans?? And what does being a snob have to do with being an alcoholic???
You need another drink, my friend.

If you're talking about some of the TV commercials for alcoholic beverages...I agree with you. The powers that be in advertising tend to market drinking their product with being 'high society' and elitist. I guess it's their way of saying...you don't have a problem with alcohol as long as you're drinking....(insert product name here). Intoxication breeds stupidity no matter what your stature in life is.

Ha! Maybe, but no more than in the UK. I've seen some very drunk Brits and all my Brit friends say I'm much nicer than most British girls in my time living in the UK. So...in relative to whom?

Americans are not the only ones who drink. Every culture has a group that are alcoholics (notice the correct spelling). Every culture has a group that are snobs.

The thing that makes one an alcoholic, is the fact that they drink WAY too much and are addicted to it. The thing that makes one a snob, is just being a rude, selfish idiot who thinks their poop smells like roses, when in fact, it smells as nasty as everyone else's.

Often times, people talk about their hangovers, because it's a new experience for them. While some have heard of them, some have never experienced them. Once you do, you tend to pass on little pearls of wisdom to others, so that they won't make the same mistakes you did. And if that's being a snob.... then I'm glad to be one.
