Answers: What does the cross above the deer head stand for on the jagermeirter emblem??? Best answer for 1st correct answer!!

DEER BLOOD!!!

it has to do with deer hunting, dating back to when JAGERMEISTER was made with deer blood as a major ingredient.

Jagermeister was invented by Christian Monks back many years ago. The cross is a symbolic of their religious beliefs. These Monks, made Jagermeister specifically to treat asylum patients. It became a apertief and evolved into an American recreational shot more recently. It was, however, an herbal concoction that was intended to be medicine. True. There are variations of the drink that contain a narcotic in some other countries. Not so in the United States.

probably some Teutonic knights, when not pillaging, they made some liqueur.
