Why do people like to get incredibly wasted? What's the allure I'm missing?!

Question: I think drinking, getting a bit drunk and loosening up is fine. But to get so wasted that you are not only sick the next day but even sick all night.

If you drink and have a hangover the next day, at least it was worth it because you got to have fun the night before. But what's the point of drinking so much you are sick the night too? How can you enjoy yourself?

It isn't about the euphoria, the buzz or the bonding with friends that is the allure. It's the elimination of accountability that they are looking for.
It gives guys an excuse to say "I never would have slept with her if I hadn't been that drunk. I mean, look at her... She's like 400 pounds!". Also, sorority floozies can flash their t*ts, experiment with bisexuality, hook up with their best friend's boyfriend, and all is forgiven: she's not really a whore, it was the Goldschlager.
Basically, anything they KNOW that they may be embarrassed to do in front of their friends, they can blame the booze. That's my story, and I'm stickin' to it.

You arent sick the night too.u pass out.literally.

it makes sleeping with ugly chicks ok

Because it's easy to get caught up in the moment and think well maybe i can handle one more. If someone takes it slowly and once they start to feel sick stop then they should be alright. Plus I don't get hangovers and being wasted is fun.

I don't think you are missing anything, really.
The people who drink sooo much that they are sick and barfing don't set out to say "I'm going to drink so much that I vomit all over myself! Yipee!"
It's more like their self-control fails completely...resulting in embarrassment, illness, etc.
Vicious circle - you drink enough to get loose and comfortable - you've drank enough to not have the sense to QUIT IT.
Or - you drank so FAST that you got enough booze into your system to render yourself soused before you even realize it. Been there a couple times, never did it on purpose, hated myself afterwards.
I pity the alcoholics who get there daily and cannot stop themselves.

I don't understand it either. I'll admit, back in my youth I probably indulged more than I should have, or could handle...but I've never been stinking, falling down, vomiting drunk...what a waste of money, and time.

My limit's three - MAYBE four drinks now. I get a nice 'feel good' buzz going...I'm not sick the next day...and the money wasn't squandered on something I regret the next day...or something I don't even remember happening.
