Answers: not "out my face" , just hittin the bevvy, am i an alchoholic

Alcoholism isn't about how often or how much to consume. It is about need. If you find that you can't go without a drink at certain times that is when you need to worry. Here are a few warning signs, it is up to you if you have an issue:

1. Can't go without alcohol to make it through certain events. Could be Saturday night or it could be to get out of bed in the morning.

2. Has caused you trouble at work. Late, call off or even firing.

3. Has cost you money. I don't mean you spent money on it, I mean you have used money meant for rent on it or when you couldn't afforded too.

4. Has caused problems with family/friends. If alcohol consumption has cost you a loved one.

As far as what BlueSea said, the fact that you are wondering speaks volumes for you not having a problem. An alcoholic wouldn't admit his/her problem to him/herself and definitely wouldn't post it on the internet for all to see.

Just the mere fact that you are wondering should probably speak volumes to you.
Why not go a week without and see if you feel a physical need to drink, etc.....
It is really impossible for a bunch of strangers on here to tell you yes or no. It's your life.

To Jeremy: Let me finish before you hand out the downers. Geez man, lighten up.

According to most souces: Yes.
According to me: no, but you need to worry if it grows in frequency.

Can you stop if you want to? You can say yes, but until you try it and succeed, I think I'd be worried you were an alcholic. You don't have to get falling down drunk to be an alcky.

If you can stop drinking any time, then you are not an alcoholic.
Test it out.

I drank 7 days a week. I stopped immediately when I was ready to get pregnant. ;)
I miss the drinks, but water is good for me right now.
I'm sure I will be enjoying my good old gin martini once I'm done having babies. :D
