Buying Alcohol?!

Question:

Buying Alcohol?

When are you allowed to buy alcohol without a fake i.d. in Canada? Can somebody give me a link please?

Answers:
The legal drinking age in Canada is 19, excluding Quebec. Quebec's drinking age is 18.

I'm a Canadian!

who said you were legally able to buy alcohol WITH a fake ID--in Canada OR in the USA???? If you are not 21, then you should NOT be trying to purchase alcohol (including BEER)..it is AGAINST THE LAW and if you are caught, you are NOT the only one who gets in legal trouble---the person who SELLS it to you can also be arrested for selling alcohol to a minor!!!! Which brings up another point here---it's PROM season right now---and some parents think that if they have an after-prom party, and make all the kids stay over night or have others who work as designated drivers, then they can be "COOL PARENTS" and let the kids drink at the party----WRONG ANSWER.... all it takes is ONE KID to tell another adult that booze was served and WHAM, that "COOL PARENT" is arrested and charged with SERVING ALCOHOL TO MINORS and Corrupting the morals of a minor and child abuse... SOOOOOO being "COOL" isn't such a good thing in this case. Laws are made to PROTECT you. Get rid of the fake ID, don't buy alcohol or try to get someone who IS over 21 to buy it for you because THAT person ---be it a friend, relative or a PARENT---can also be arrested and sent to jail... it's not worth it.... Alcohol is NOT something that you should be dealing with. It causes more problems then even DRUGS.

18 or 19 depending on the province.

You're always allowed to buy it without a fake ID! LOL It would always be against the law to buy it WITH a fake ID! Wow, silly question. However, if you are looking for the age limit, you will need to be either 18 or 19. I know compared to the US they are not very strict, but I'm sure it depends where you are and you will still run the risk of getting asked, so you should be of age.

Québec supermarkets would seem to be the best bet if you are underage. They hardly ever check ID but sometimes they do.
