Does anyone know any good recipes for Absinthe??!

Question: I just got my 1st bottle, had never tasted it as it just became legal in the states after 75 years - I don't mind the thick black licorice taste, but is there anything you can add to it to give it a smoother taste?

Absinthe is taken a lot of the time with sugar melted into it, they make Absinthe spoons (Slotted spoon) so you can take a sugar cube and melt it with a lighter on the spoon and as the sugar carmelizes it melts through the slots and sweetens the absinthe. I've heard one sugar cube per 2 oz shot but you might want to try it yourself first...

You can pour it into a glass, put a couple of ice cubes into a cocktail strainer and pour a small amount of water over it,( similar to making a pastis) or place the sugar cube into the special spoon and pour the absinthe over it.
