Any Mr. Beer makers in here?!

Question: I am currently brewing my first batch of beer in my new Mr. Beer brewing kit. My first batch is Pale Ale with extra UME to add alcohol content. Any tips or ideas on making a Successful batch and good recipes for flavorful beers.
Thanks

The caps they give you don't work well with standard plastic bottles here in the US forcing you to purchase their Mr. Beer bottles. If you didn't get the kit that already has them, order them now to make sure you have them for the bottling process.

The biggest tip I can give you is to graduate from the Mr. Beer to an actual homebrewing kit. A lot of homebrewers started with the Mr. Beer, but quickly moved on, and none of them have ever looked back.
Find a local homebrew shop, or check out http://www.midwestsupplies.com or http://www.austinhomebrew.com, and pick up a 'starter kit'. These kits allow you to not only make 5 gallons at a time, but also allow for future expansion. You can also begin creating your own recipes, or using kits other than the Mr. Beer kits. You will not only make more beer per batch, but you will also make much better beer.
I would also recommend picking up a copy of Charlie Papazian's book 'The Complete Joy of Homebrewing', the quintessential bible for homebrew.
