Just wandering about drinking and driving?!

Question: according to the Police dept. One beer has the same alcohol content as one mixed drink or one glass of wine. According to my body wieght I can have two drink and still be under the legal limits and I will be able to drive. Recently I started mixing my coors light bottle with my bud light bottle in order to "officially" be having a mixed drink. I drank two of my mixed drinks and the officer said I was over the legal limit. Why did the police put out the wrong information that I could drink two drinks and when I do they give me a DUI?

I'm not surprised you were booked if you were "wandering about drinking and driving"!!! I think you meant you were WONDERING....
Anyway, accept this as a lesson, if you are going to drink, don't drive.

"two drinks" is a ballpark phrase...
your BAC (blood alcohol content) is determined by many things:
your body weight
the alcohol content of the drink
how big the drink was
your metabolism
the time during which you consumed your drink(s)....

if you slug down two beers in 10 mins, your BAC will be higher than if you drank those 2 beers in one hour. it takes the average male about one hour to metabolize ONE beer/drink.
so, if you drink a few beers before you drive, give your body enough time to metabolize the alcohol before you drive.

Why would you want to drink and drive anyway ,its a stupid
thing to do.Get a cab and leave the car at home.

like the person said above me.....why drink and drive in the first place?

When the police give out the little spinning cardboard wheel to check your BAC, it's a simple guide, not a definitive end-all-be-all on the subject.

And mixing two brands of beer is not a mixed drink.

You are a twit!

My opinion is when you drink, you don't drive. Take a cab!

mixing two different beers is different than a mixed drink. its not the cops fault you can't tell the difference. WHY are you drinking in driving in the first place. Its not a fun thing to do. you need to stop and think before you ask this stupid of a question.

Because police think they are above the law my friend. Sad but true.
