Mexican beer that Mexico does not import?????
crossing the border with a mexican beer illegal in Mexico???

probably you are talking about the rights of international trade.... most of the mexican beers which are sold in USA states that they are for being sold abroad.... so if you want to try one of them in Mexico, you should go to a mexican market or convenience store....

Victoria is a mexican beer... it was widely marketed as the only mexican beer only for mexicans... the TV commercials about this beer emphasized it, with the story of an american or canadian guy trying to export it from Mexico.... and of course, just as the fox, always failed.

i've never seen carta blanca here in the US

Is it Tecate, Dos XX, Corona, Pasifico, Modello Sorry I can't think of any others but I if I remember I will get back at ya!

I think they're pulling your leg; but ask them for specifics. Mexicans sneak people (including sex slaves) and drugs across the border in huge quantities, so a few cases of beer should be a cinch.

Some liqueurs/beer/wine not imported because of paperwork not done, sometimes process is not considered safe- as no pasteurization during brewing or a wood cask not charred, alcohol content a bit high for class. Brother in Texas has gone across border and gotten some things not normally imported, a couple are not very good. some local brewed beers similar to German and Bohemian recipes that don't travel well, good when fresh though- not practical to export. Sounds about like what we have in Wisconsin brew-pubs- local good tasting beers that have short shelf life. English have some Ales the same way.

They are talking about Victoria. It's not for sale outside of Mexico.
Victoria is a amber beer.
Another nice Mexican amber is Leon.
