I want to know more about wine?!
Answers: i have never drank wine before but want to try Arbor Mist. How is wine different from beer? Does it make you feel the same
Well I don't know a whole lot about wine but there are books that can tell you about the different kinds of wine and things like that. I think there is even a book called something like "The Wine guide for dummies" or something like that, it is a very basic guide to wine. I do know that you can buy a nice and good bottle of wine for $20 or under. I mean some go up into the hundreds but in reality if you buy a wine for around 10 to 15 dollars it will be a good wine. There are also magazines out there on wine. You can look on-line and find one that you like and subscribe to one or two. They always have recommendations and so on and information. There are also wine tasting groups all over the nation. Maybe you can look for one in your area and join one of them. They meet and try out different kinds of wine. Some wine stores have wine tasting like once every month or so, so you could check out your area to see if any around you do that. Remember start basic and work your way up from there. Like learn what the different kinds of wine are, what the difference is between sparkling wine and Champagne. Little things like that. Good luck! I know some people who are really into wine and they really enjoy it, it's kinda like a Hobie for them. =)
Arbor Mist is not wine... it's a fancy wine cooler.
If you want to know more about wine. I recommend you join a wine club. Very informative social evening with wine tastings and explanations from experts in their field. At the appropriate time field trips are offered to the wineries. Lovely way to learn about wines and meet new people.
To pick up a bottle of wine here and there wont teach you very much at all and can cost more money than you care to spend if you don't like it.
arbor mist is more like a wine cooler. though it does contain wine, and also contains fruit flavorings. they are very sweet. the wine industry that I work in considers them part of the "alco pops" which is like a soda pop for adults.
wine has approximately 100 calories, little nutritional value in 5 oz serving. alcohol content 10% - 18% depending on the wine.
beer has approximately 75 calories and 6 grams of carbs in 6 oz service. alcohol content 3.5% - 9%
wine made from pressed grape juice and at times added sulfites or sugar, but nothing else. Beer is water, starch sourse like barley, fruits/herbs or hopps, yeast, . though both are fermented products, they are entirely different things. I think beer tastes heavier than wine.
i tend to sip and savor wine, wheras beer is just for drinking like a soda but with alcohol.
it may take you more beer to feel the same as the wine, but they all make you feel tipsy just the same.
