Is there any way you can make homemade Rubbing Alcohol?!

Question:

Is there any way you can make homemade Rubbing Alcohol?

Is there anyway to make 100% or close to 100% Rubbing Alcohol within you home? How do you seperate water fom Alcohol?

Answers:
Distallation of isopropanol is not only impractical for home creation, but is also dangerous since it has the potential to explode. A bottle of it is usually only $1-2. If you need it in large quantities, consider shooping for it in bulk.

No, you cannot without complex and expensive equipment - and don't forget, rubbing alcohol is poisonous.

If you can get 90% isopropyl alcohol from the drugstore, you can add rock salt. The salt will absorb that last 10% of water and leave the alcohol behind. You'll need a lot of rock salt for this, but it can be done.
There's no real point to doing this other than to just do it. Rubbing alcohol is toxic whether it's 70%, 90% or 100%, so you can't drink it. It'll do ok for rocket fuel though.
