Why does my mum always drink her beer from the bottle? She hates it in a cup? Whats the difference?!

When beer, or any alcoholic beverage, is poured from a bottle to a glass it absorbes oxygen from the air. Oxygen will cause the carbonation to decrease as well as slightly altering the flavor.

Have you ever seen people pour a glass of wine and swirl it around a bit before taking a sip? When it mixes with the air it causes it to become more aromatic and flavorful.

I prefer beer out of a bottle myself. It just taste more fresh.

It may be the same reason I never developed a taste for beer at all--I like my cold beverages very cold as "on ice", and never thought that beer tasted cold enough.

Beer in a chilled bottle is probably somewhat colder than beer poured into a glass, unless the mug is chilled as well.

Maybe she likes it cold?
(wondering to self...Have they asked Mom?)

There is not much differince my dad also drinks from the bottle i guess they just like it there is no reson.

If you pour it into a glass, it loses some of its fizz; or it could just be that she's used to it that way.

I am the same way! - for some reason beer has a different taste when placed into a cup - chilled or not.

I cannot drink soda from a can - must be in a cup with ice. Querky little things lol

Have you asked her why she does it?

Taste better in a bottle...

I try not to buy beer in the pitcher or the mug,,, frozen or not
