Is there a dark sweet wine?!

Question:

Is there a dark sweet wine?

I had this dream that I was drink a glass of a deep red wine that tasted very sweet, and of like wine at all, but it was very strong.
I as if you took a lot of fresh bing cherries and squeezed the juice from them. Is there anything like this?

Answers:
from what you are describing I would say try a Fetzer,Eagle Peak Merlot. Good luck. Oh ya don't forget to let it breathe for 30 mins, if you are not a wine drinker you may want to chill it while it breathes for those 30 mins, otherwise this wine is served best at room temp.

YOU CAN GET CHERRY BRANDY IT'S VERY SWEET.OR SHERRY IT IS ALSO A SWEET WINE.

Actually Colorado Merlots can be very sweet and reminiscent of cherries. Goes great with chocolate desserts. If you want to find a good one I recommend Spero Winery in Denver.

Marsala is a deep color, but more of a reddish amber. It is very sweet and it is stronger than regular wine.

I'm sure it wasn't Mogan David, LOL!!!!

Yep ... not bing cherries, but concord grapes. Try Mogen David concord grape wine. It's cheap, and easy to find, but it fits the bill for what you're looking for, I think.

Be warned, it's very sweet ...almost like pure grape juice, with alcohol.

Hope this helps!

yes my boyfriend

there are dessert wines that are very sweet, not overpowered with alcohol. they are fruit-based mostly.

fortified wines like port wine and some of the less dry marsala wines
