Inexpensive champagne help!?!

Question:

Inexpensive champagne help!?

hi, my wedding is 2 weeks away and the person who was getting the champagne for the wedding as a gift to us just backed out because there afraid minors will drink it and then they will be responcible... :'( but anyways my wedding budget is totaly spent and i dont no how i can come up with the extra money ( me and my beloved are paying for the wedding ourselves) so my question is what is a good inexpensive champagne to serve at my wedding.?? and where is the best (cheapest) kind of place to get

Answers:
You need Cook's champagne. It's only like $4 a bottle. But it's better than Andre. I served it at my wedding and the guests all thought I'd paid $30 a bottle! So it's cheap, but good enough to impress (if nobody sees the label).

I'd recommend Gruet champagne from New Mexico (of all places), it's excellent and a very good value for such a great tasting champagne.

Korbel is pretty good and its like $12 a pop.

Probably the cheapest is either Cold Duck or Cooks they are about the same price around 3 to 4 dollars a bottle.

You can get inexpensive champagne at Costco or even at your grocery store. The cheapest I've seen it in my area is about $7 but I live in a higher price area. My advice to you would be to plan on about 5 servings per bottle or so and just buy enough for everyone to have a champagne toast. It does not need to be served throughout the evening. I like Tott's or Korbel.

Cooks pink is not that expencive.

A good inexpensive champagne, IMO, is Freixenet Cordon Negro. (it is made in Spain, so technically it is a sparkling wine, not champagne) I prefer the brut, but they have an extra dry as well. You can usually find it for around $6-$10 dollars a bottle, Most places will give you a discount if you are buying bulk, just ask!

individual bottles of"pop" champange may sovle your problem the're inexpensive, really cute and you should be able to get the person who was going to pay to do so because you drink them right out of the bottle(with a straw)and the bright blue bottle is very distintive so no trouble spotting under age drinkers and hand them out to legal age guests only . good luck p.s. any package store can order this for you!

Try Italian sparkling wine like Bisol Prosecco di Valdobbiadene. Congratulations on your wedding!

Andre is about 2.99 a bottle and it's fine for a toast. Congratulations

For your wedding I recomend Asti Spemanti which is less then $20 a bottle, not sure the price but good tasting and reasonable. May I say that is wrong for your friend to pull out for any reason and leaving you stuck with the bill and congadulations.
