Hiya! Happy New Year to you - hope its a good un!! xx There is a rule that I use when Im cooking with wine, and that is to never cook with something that I wouldn't drink myself xxx If you are doing say, steak or red meat, then I use a nice Cabernet Sauvignon - its got a nice smooth flavour and goes very well with red meats, and also, if you don't use it all you can have a nice glass of it when you're cooking :o) xx Which is always good I think!! Hope this helps xxx

Well it depend on what you cook.. I ususally use merlot for cooking meat.

make sure to use a wine that actually has good flavor. not just some cheap shi**y kind

you can use any kind, but the better quality the better the taste!

We use Fetzer - Cabernet Sauvignon

yes you can, use a stronger wine for a stronger dish...like a bolognaise can take a cabernet sauvignon, i'd stick to a beaujoulais for risotto! go for it. just remember to save the expensive wines for drinking...

carbonet sav
burgundy
chablis

yes my friend did that to her stuff

The best wine to use is one that you also drink. Once the alcohol is burned off, the flavor of the wine is what comes thru. If you don't drink red wine, a burgundy is pretty standard. I drink red wine on occasion and like Cabernet Savignon....a dry wine.

Use the same wine you are going to serve with the meal. The flavors will go best together that way. NEVER use cheap wine you would not drink.

You can use any wine of your choice. There are some good red cooking wines at reasonable prices, that are also good as a table wine.

i normally just use what a cook book tells me to use, plus my aunt write cook books

Usually the quality of wine will be proportional to the outcome. So the better the wine the better the sauce or whatever you are creating will taste. I find if you get a wine that is great tasting while still great price you will come out fine. I'd use Fetzer five star.

the simple answer is..... NEVER use a wine that you wouldnt drink yourself! buy the best you can! It makes all the difference trust me! ...... you wouldnt drink sh*t so dont eat sh*t
