Tea and Brandy?

I was always told that a cup of HOT water, shot of rum, whiskey....whatever you like, then sweeten as you like. I prefer a really good tea, shot of rum and honey! Now I am going to go home and have one.

It is a mixed drink served warm it originated in Scotland
Can be mixed with hot water, tea, cocoa, or coffee.
Alcohol tends to be scotch, whisky, or brandy.
Can also have lemon and spices added to it.

No matter the "recipe"... it sure makes you feel all warm and cozy, when you have the creeping crud.

A hot toddy is not a specific drink, it is a general name for hot frothy drinks. Warm milk could be called a toddy. So I guess you can put whatever booze in it you want.

Whiskey
