Do you think that food & drinks cans should be made from aluminium or steel?
Answers:
Aluminium my friend because the chemical density of this alloy are extremely more.... only joking I couldn't give two fcuks love. Alex
aluminium is so much eaiser ro recycle and cheaper to make
neither, it should all be contained in glass.
They started out as steel and ended up aluminum. You do the math.
solid gold honey. My goodness what are these cheap materials you talk about
Alumuminium. It's lighter and doesn't rust.
aluminium is much easier to make, lighter and can recycle. So therefore aluminium is the best way to make cans
Aluminum is lighter, cheaper and can be easily recycled.
As long as they both can be recycled i dont think it matters
i think dey shud be made out of glass soaked in plutonium
Aluminium is easier to recycle
That's no big deal, what's worse is the taste of warm plastic from these bottles of water.
I think it depends upon whether you want ease of recycling or ease of sorting. i.e. Steel cans are magnetic, so easy to sort, but aluminium can be compressed into a smaller size for transport. Take your pick.
Beverages are canned in aluminum, and food it's canned in steel but i agree they all should be preserved in the eco-friendly glass, but if we have to decide between metals, i'll choose stainless steel, it would be best except for it's cost...so i'll go for glass
alluminium, we have greater sources of it and we can also recycle it! everybody needs 2 recycle - GO ECO FRIENDLY!
Aluminium has a lower melting temp so therfore is easier and cheaper to recycle!
I think aluminium because it is recyclable and we should all be doing our bit. A lot of the cans that are saved have to be sorted out from the steel because many people dont know the difference. It would make it so much easier if they were all made the same way. Aluminium is not magnetic whereas steel is.
I also detest plastic bottles. Although they can be recycled most people just throw them away and as mineral water and fizzy pop are stored in them we get rid of a lot of plastic.
Besides all the other answers, which are all correct, manufactures will stick to aluminium, to reduce weight, thus reducing transport costs. Less weight, less fuel consumed
Food and drink cans should be made from lined steel cans because aluminium has been found to contribute to Alzheimer's disease. Traces of aluminium are absorbed by the cans contents and the aluminium has been found to migrate to the brain.
Hi,
I like the notion in a previous aswer of using gold.
It would work, but I wonder how many tins of baked beans would go missing/
Steel is hopeless for the job. It would be unheathy, heavy, and rust. Aluminium, mixed with other elements, is fine, and probably our best bet for re-cycling.
Of course, they used to be tin, hence tin cans, but they are dodgy for the internals. How about treated cardboard.. It wouldn't transit well unless cared for, and have a low shelf life,
It would be cheap and re-cyclable, and a complete pain for the vendor. Oh Well.
That is that notion out of the window.
Ah, this pink grapefruit that I am about to open comes in its' own natural wrapping.
Much better.
Cheers,
Bob
