Please recommend a good quality, reasonably priced red wine?!

Question: I'm not a wine drinker but I want to buy a bottle of red wine (less than $20) from my local liquor store.

Wild Vines or Siera Mist Blackberry Merlot.

A lot of people like the Yellow Tail brands. They are around $10 a bottle. "Hey Mambo" is really popular around here right now. I like Blackstone Cabernet.

Hi a good wine is Rioja. A fantastic red from spain and very good value. Your local liquor store should stock it even thought i am in the uk even a cabernet sauvignon is very nice to hope this helps

Yellowtail wines are good.

Just go to Trader Joe's, all their wines are very very affordable (most are under $15) and go nuts.

As far as which red wine specifically is such a general question that no one could really tell you, there are many different varietals of red wine and then each specific one has many different brands and each brand has different years :-)

So you have to narrow this down for yourself
Do you want a sweet wine? That will rule out almost all red's other than Port and handful of others.

Do you want a heavy wine (to stand up to steak) that would be a Cabernet Sauvignon, or Bordeaux, Syrah.

Do you want a medium wine (chicken and some fish), then Merlot, Zinfandel, Pinot Noir.

A wine expert would probably kick my butt for this kind of simple breakdown, but I think it'll get you going on the right track.

If you have absolutely no clue, why don't you go for a Zinfandel ... maybe a Rancho Zabaco - Dancing Bull (CA) 2004 which goes for about $9.00

Good Luck!

Merrit Estates Bella Rosa.

The Red Wine Everyone Likes.

Prices run between $9.99 and $25.99. Average between 13 and 19 dollars. It's a New York made wine so you should be able to get it at a mid range price in the city.

i like the super Tuscan villa antinori. it's a slightly dry red, 80% sangiovese, a little cabernet, merlot, and syrah i don't usually like dry, i like pinot noirs, but it's only slightly dry. $19.-$21.
