Is there sugar in strawberry margaritas???!

Question:

Is there sugar in strawberry margaritas???

Answers:
Lots of sugar

Sugar in the strawberries
Sugar in the Triple Sec
Sugar in the grand marnier (if that's what they use)
Sugar on the rim of the glass

Lots of sugar I tell ya

Yes

Well, I suppose there is natural sugar from the fruit, and perhaps pre-mixed ones may have sugar in them. Also some bars will rim the glass with sugar for a strawberry margarita. But the traditional recipe would only have natural sweetening from the strawberries.

e.g.

INGREDIENTS
6 fluid ounces tequila
2 fluid ounces triple sec
8 ounces frozen strawberries
4 fluid ounces frozen limeade concentrate
6 cups ice
DIRECTIONS
Place ice in a blender and crush for 15 to 20 seconds. Add frozen strawberries, tequila, triple sec, and limeade. Blend until smooth.

Often there is sugar around the rim, and the strawberries themselves have natural sugars. Some mixes may call for it, and still other margarita mix may include sugar and other preservatives, etc. But I don't know of any mixes which will just call for sugar to be mixed in.

There's sugar in the fruit and if you get a sugar rimmed glass

yes..how do you think it gets so sweet...there is more sugar in a strawberry or fruit flavored margarita than a plain one (b/c fruit has natural sugars)

sugar goes around the rim of the glass and its probably a mix used w/ sugar in it or frozen strawberries that have a syrup
