It all depends on what sort of menu that its going with, with the obvious ones being rolled out. I have herd of this event in the past , you could also try and think outside the box, and try some champagnes from the regions smaller producers, it might not be the brand name, but its something different that has been well thought out if you do decide to go down that route.

With the 'brand' named bubbly, Crystal and Krug are the high rollers, with the Dom Pom ,Lauren Perrier, Bollenger coming up behind, or you could try and go for a Rose Champagne

hope this gave u some drink for though

Guinness or
Old Speckled Hen

theres a recent release of Krug which is rumoured to challenge the best vintages ever!
expensive though, and really best to buy and lay down!

first off for any event no matter what the budget you can't afford the best champange.

Stick with a £70 bottle of Lurent and Perrier it is a high quality champnge and widely regarded as a good all rounder.

The best would be a Cyrstal or Krug.

Hello!

For me it just has to be Moet!

Phoebs

Veuve Clicquot Vintage Brut 2002
Laurent-Perrier Brut Vintage 1999
Bollinger Grande Année Brut 1999

no champagne

How high a budget? You can do Crystal for about $300 a bottle. Dom Perignon for about $150.

For middle-budget, go for Veuve Cliquot Brut with the orange label. About $35-$43 a bottle, depending on where you live. Look for sales. There are other nice ones at that price, but VC is a safe and popular bet.

Lower budget, go with California sparkling wines (most people call them 'champagne'). Domaine Chandon Brut Classic is very nice at around $15-18, Korbel Brut is about $10-12 a bottle and is decent and popular. That's the only one I'd consider at the $10 budget level. Go for Brut, which is dryer then their 'extra dry' (which is actually kinda sweet). Of these two, Chandon has the lighter, more complex (but delicate) flavor.

Most stores give case discounts on wine and champagne. Ask. Also, if you live in an area where grocery stores can sell wine, Check out Costco. They have better prices and carry most of the Champagnes I've mentioned

I'm quite partial to a Vintage Moet.

Although not incredibly expensive, it is rated a s a quality marque.

Got a nice bottle of 1997 awaiting an extra special occasion.

Dom or Krug
