I believe if we can send someone to war, allow them to vote and drive an vehicle. They should be entitled to drink as well. So, whether it is 18 or 21, we need to settle on one.
yeah some of the states has to be 21 but in the Canada place you can be 16.
yeah, that's one thing I can't understand...at 18 we're old enough to vote for our leaders, or to go and get our asses shot off in some shithole halfway across the world, but God help us if we want to have a beer
I don't know anyone who waits. If the age was lowered, it needs to be removed completely. If you allow children to have wine or beer with dinner, then allow them to have harder drinks as they get older, drinking wouldn't be nearly as much of a novelty. There wouldn't be nearly as much abuse.
I think the age for voting, drinking and going to war should be 19.
The only thing i could think of is that alot of 18 and 19 year olds might still be in high school. That might up the contributing factor. Other than that i think if you can handle your self responsibly on alchohol, why not.
I would just like to agree with dragondog1976, how true this is that we have teenagers out here getting killed fighting for our country, but they can't relax somewhere and drink a drink. God Bless America!!!! They can't blame it on not being a responsible adult because many adults don't drink responsibly.

i think it's fucked and i live in the UK. i'm 16 and i already drink...especially when on holiday in europe. look at all the young celebrities with drink problems in the states...having a high legal age clearly doesn't work. i can't imagine going another 5 years without drink
yea, i dont agree with this prohibition people 18-20 have to endure, it sucks, but o well, we still manage to get it when we want i guess haha
