Least expensive and decent tasting beer in North America?!

Question:

Least expensive and decent tasting beer in North America?

I found Lucky Lager, Lakeport and Laker Red to be the cheapest beer I can find, costing only around $8 Canadian for a 6-pack or just under $16 for a 12. Are there any other beer or drinks that come even close to this price? Usually I expect to pay over $12 for 6 beers.

Answers:
Yuengling. Sounds chinese, but it's actually from Pottsville, PA. You will not find a beer with more character for the price.

Stop at the first BIG Liquor Store you see:
And you will be amazed at variety and prices

There are none except Samuel Adams Boston Lager. Stick to Molson or LeBatt's.

I second YuengLing. The Larger and Chesterfield Ale are both good for the money.

ALL I GOT TO SAY IS PBR

like Dennis Hopper said in Blue Velvet
"not Heineken ******* PABST BLUE RIBBON"

I agree with Yuengling Lager. Can't beat it for the price. Amber Bock isn't bad either. Sam Adams is good but more expensive.

Stoney's beer is a light lager and well worth it's low price. Trouble is, it's getting hard to find.

You are in Ontario?

In Canada cross into Québec; Canada's cheapest beer prices when on sale, which is often. Mainline brands (Molson, Bud, Labatt, Coors etc) on sale in Montréal this week for about $22/case of 24 (the Ontario "Buck-a-bottle" brands like Lakeport are not sold here).

But of course far cheaper it will be if you cross the border into the States where prices can be half that. Some states (NH and MA for example) do not even charge a tax at retail. Even great microbrews (which we drink) are cheap - when we cross the border we load up on wonderful brews like Harpoon, Otter Creek and Redhook (which Labatt is authorized to brew in Canada but they don't, dammit -- we have complained to the company) for $US 9 or even less per 12-pack.

Pabbs Blue Ribbon, cheaper than bud light, an oddly tastes better

I have found Old Style in a 30 pack for about $11. It's not bad but ain't very good either.

Busch!!

$3.99 for a six pack of 16oz. !! Pretty sweet deal.
