If someone were to buy liqour from New Hampshire and go to Massachusett's.

Isn't that illegal and considered Bootlegging?

Bootlegging... that's how the Kennedy's made their money.

I don't know the laws, but you're describing smuggeling, not bootlegging.

no. The NH state liquor store is right off the ramp, drive thru, and back onto the hwy. It is not rumrunning because it is not being brought over state lines to sell illegally. It is brought over state lines to consume.
And the liquor itself is not illegally made, so it is not bootleg liquor.

I don't see why that would be illegal... other than selling to minors.

It is only bootlegging when Uncle Sam doesn't get his cut. If it is bought legally in one state you can bring it to another. If you buy it out of the country you have to pay Uncle Sam to bring it in. If you make it and sell it without paying Uncle Sam then that is bootlegging.

As long as the alcohol is legal & lawful taxes are paid it is not rum running or bootlegging which is illegal and taxes cannot be paid.
