What is the best tastingand inexpensive red wine?!

Question:

What is the best tastingand inexpensive red wine?

Answers:
Valentin Bianchi 2005 Elsa Malbec
The classic Malbec aromas of ripe plum and violets are evident in the nose, with hints of vanilla. The beauty of the Malbec of Argentina is its ability to combine a rich, weighty mouth feel with a soft silkiness normally associated with lighter wines. Elsa Malbec takes the promise of the nose through to the palate, with pleasing fruit that mimics the aroma. The soft, supple palate leads to a lingering finish. ($8.99)

For what it is worth: the writers and evaluators at "Decanter", generally thought to be the world's best wine magazine, and some other wine writers, have suggested that the world's best value fine red wine that is widely distributed around the globe is the Concha y Toro Caseillero del Diablo Cabernet Sauvignon. It sells for between $US 6 - $9 in the States, $CDN 11 - 14 in Canada, and about 3 or 4 pounds in the U.K.

Give Rancho Zabaco Zinfandel a try. Under $10.

If you can find it (only sold at Trader Joe's I believe) get Charles Shaw wines. $2.99 a bottle and better than just about anything else I've had.

Concha Y Toro Frontera Cabernet-Merlot blend

Citra Montepulciano D'Abruzzo

Trader Joe's Coastal Collection and many other wines they carry for $5 or less each 750ml bottle...

Montecillo Rioja Crianza

Lindeman's Bin 50 Shiraz

Gallo of Sonoma Merlot

Columbia Crest Two Vines Merlot
