Answers: Keep in mind of back problems. No sit ups!!!

I fought in the ring professionally, until I was struck by a car and had my vertebrae fused. I don't compete but I own my own Martial Arts studio. I do many exercises without injury to my back. As far as your beer gut. You can buy an ab-lounge. It gives you support on your back, as well as, strengthening it, while getting rid of the beer gut. If money is an object, try these steps: AHEM... (1.) Stop drinking beer! (2.) Eat low-carb foods. Drink fluids low in carbs. Stay away from soda's. Stay away from greasy fried foods and fast foods. Eat more vegetables. If regular sit ups are a problem, try doing things like touching your toes. Do 5 reps of 10. Also do them from side to side as well as frontal. Wait 1 minute between reps. As you get more adjusted and used to it, increase your reps...12...then 14. Do this for at least 30 days, just to get a look at the results, already happening. Don't forget to go for walks (brisk). Start out with a mile a day. Or jog, if you can. Take rests when needed, as you don't want to hurt yourself. Stretch your legs and calves before and after the walks/runs. It keeps you limper and helps prevent cramping. Make sure to drink plenty of water. But the only way to get rid of the gut is by starting. Nothing comes easy. Good luck.

divorce her!

Give up the brewskis, drink water and spend lots of time on aerobic activities, such a bicycling or swimming.

PULL UPS

Stop drinking beer!

stop drinking it!

Walking will burn the pad of fat all over your body. You don't have to walk fast, just walk for 45 min at a time to get your heart rate up and speed up metabolism. Drinking water speeds it up also. Try to walk at least 3-4 times a week. Good luck.
And yeah, lay off the beer. (But you already knew that one.)

Don't lay off the beer quit yet, switch to light. :) & do crunches & sit ups.

Switch to whiskey. Even if it doesn't work, you won't give a crap.

Exercise in general really helped me. And depending on the back problems, strengthening your abs can usually help at least lower back problems.

Run, run, run and run some more. Worked for me. If your back is real bad there are supports on the market that should help. There are a lot of different stretches you can do to loosen up the ol' back muscles, and ease the pain. - Google "Back Stretches".

Oh yeah... Don't forget to cut those calories!

Enjoy Light beer or no beer. When you sitting down tighten the stomach muscles but enough for you to breath and even while walking. Trust me It will help tremendously.

Eat less, stop drinking beer and exercise.
