Tequlia, citrus choice?!

Question: Im from jersey and we get a slice of lime with out shot of tequlia, when i went to canada they use a slice of lemon and never heard of any one using lime.

So in you part of country do they use lemon or lime? where are u from?

Tradition dictates lime, but I know people who use lemon and sugar. I myself use neither, preferring to go without training wheels. I live in Florida.

we use lime here and in canada...i live right near the niagara falls border to canada and go to there bars frequently. If they used a lemon there they were probably just miss informed or it was just that bar that did it.

Lime is the standard. Lime and salt with shots.

I'm from Nova Scotia, Canada, I always use a lemon with my tequila shots, I've used lime once or twice but that was because the bar was out of lemon.
