What to do with an empty keg?!

Question: It is one of those 5 gallon Heineken mini-kegs. It is empty now from a holiday party. It seems like a lot of metal and stuff to just get rid of it. What can I make out of it/use it for?

Throw it at a child or an elderly person.

make a penny jar

fill it back up

My son made a lamp out of his.

Saved for another party.

Check with your local grocery stores to see if you can take it in for cash value.

Call Mr. Heineken and get it re-filled. If there's a will, there's a way!

Beer me!

No seriously, recycle it. Call your local municipality and ask therm how to recycle it.

I took the plastic top off of mine, I think it may have been a metal one too, I don't remember because I just finished the keg. But I use mine for a coin jar thing. And put it on the floor by my door and to my suprise, people actually put money in it!

I'd get it filled again and again and again etc.

Recycle it, doh!

i dont know if its the same where your from as where i am...but where i'm from you can turn it in for 10$ and if you charge people the price of the keg during the night...you actually get paid 10$ to drink (CHEERS) haha

My step-brother keeps a few of them on his dresser as some kind of "decoration." It's somewhat interesting.
I'm sure you can take it to one of those scrap metal places and get some change off it if you don't want any more decor in your home.

Give it to a homebrewer.
They know what its best use is.

Make some furniture out of it. I had an idea once to take a bunch of empty minikegs, scrape/peel off any logos and then use them to line the front of a small bar, so that all of the party-goers could see would be a wall of minikegs. It would take alot of kegs to do that though.....
