Why even bother to bring wine for people who obviously could not appreciate it? Bring them a six-pack instead. Or a case of Thunderbird?

Lmao!!!

do they drink wine? if they do then LOL, maybe they were already drunk.

Your friends are obviously not into wine and how arrogant of you to think less of them for it.

wtf indeed.

Well it was probably because your friends just don't like French people but they were trying to be acceptive.

Maybe they're hoping their stripper names! Obviously you won't have to share; doesn't sound like they're into wines that aren't Boones Farm.

What was your preference? MD20/20 or Wild Irish Rose?

The pot calling the kettle black? There is no wine called "cavernet" perhaps you meant "Cabernet"?. Did you a want them to tell you what a wine connoisseur you are? "Bring whatever you like" seems like a perfectly nice response.

And there are plenty of cheap crappy Cabernets and Pinots -- the names in themselves are not any indication of quality.

Agree with DannyK also.

PS it's "buffoons" not "bafoons" (just trying to help you out, Mr. Sophisticated)

Eh, who cares? I would just laugh it off and bring an inexpensive bottle since they wouldn't know the difference anyway. Maybe their interests would be peaked and they could learn more about wine.

Aw. And these are your friends? Sad. Maybe you should start looking for a new group of friends..
