Do you prefer flavored rums of flavored vodkas?!
Also which regular Vodkas and Rums are best? I got some Smirnoff, Absolut, Captain Morgan Original Spiced Rum, and Bacardi. I just started drinkind and want to try a lot of good stuff to see what I really like.
Answers: I'm not sure what to buy more of. I want to know if the rums or the vodkas taste better and are more versitile in making a wide variety of great drinks. I just picked up some Captain Morgan Parrot Bay Pineapple and Coconut as well as Bacardi Peach in rums. And I have Smirnoff Strawberry, Orange, and Rasberry in vodkas.

Rum flavour is wonderful flavour just as it is, so, if you have to add any flavour to anything, I'd say flavoured vodka...vodka by itself is so plain and blahh !
I still prefer Cruzan Gold Rum....and absolut citron and vanilla....
Captain Morgan spiced rum is good.

go with vodka can make anything with that as for a brand go with popov its cheap so u can buy more

I would prefer plain vodka or rum, and if I want to flavours, I will juts add the juice. ;) A lot of products in the markets used artificial flavours.
If I have to choose a flavored product, that I will go with Belvedere Cytrus. It is macerated, and you can see how it is made from the link listed below. Just keep it in the refrige over night, and drink as a shot with a pinch of sugar and some lemon/lime wedges.
