I've used cedar creek ehrenfelser in a grapefruit ice granita. Awesome for summer dessert.

I think mine would be Gewurztraminer and Sushi. Gewurztraminer is an excellent German wine with a sweet aftertaste and went well with the ginger and spicy wasabi on the sushi. I highly recommend it!

Oh I love Cedar Creek Ehrenfelser .... I used it last summer in a Ruby Red grapefruit reduction sauce over Walleye, and ofcourse, with the meal.

It was a Sauternes (Chateau Suduiraut to be exact) with haggis. The seetness of the Suduiraut offset the spicyness of the haggis wonderfully.
It was at a dinner hosted at Chateau Pichon-Longueville in Bordeaux and they flew the Haggis over from MacSween's in Scotland specially for the dinner.
Have since served this as a starter several times now at dinner parties held by my wife and I... but usually experiment with different desert wines. The Suduiraut was probably the best match... but maybe the event and location helped LOL
