Whats the difference between Gran Patron Anejo and Gran Patron Platinum?!

Question: Anjeo is aged 1-3 years in oak barrels.

Patron Platinum is a Silver tequila that's been aged. The website isn't specific as to how or when.

Silver tequila typically is not aged, so I'm not sure exactly what Patron does to it to make it "Platinum".

Added: This is from Bevmo.com: Patron Platinum is produced from carefully hand selections of the finest Blue Agave plants from the harvest. The tequila is triple distilled then a portion of the finest batches are blended.

For 750mL, Anejo is about $45 and Platinum is about $200.

The price

the age of the brew.
and the extra cost for snob appeal

Gran Patron Anejo was the most expensive last week at the Mexican supermarket. Wildly overpriced and a marketing scheme that works well with Tequila snobs.
