I need some cocktail ideas for a party I'm having.?
I am having a party soon and I need some ideas for drinks and shots. I know of a few like Malibu and pineapple juice or Vodka and cranberry. Does anyone have any other ideas?
Answers:
Mix Captain Morgan pineapple rum, pineapple juice, ruby red grapefruit juice together, freeze until hard slushy. Break up, and pour in glasses, decorate with chunk of pineapple
Best to freeze in a plastic jug like a milk jug or 3liter soda bottle

Just get beer since your hosting the party, you'll be busy if you have a liquor cabinet leave it open and let people mix their own drinks. Have fun

You could hire a bartender that is needing a little extra money but mojito's are nice as well as godiva chocolate martini's

Generally, when hosting a party - offer beer, wine and one or two drinks if you don't want to just buy a large selection and let people make their own options. You could buy basics, and then some sodas, etc. Or make one punch, and a martini or something for variety.
Jello shots are always nice and you can make those ahead of time, keep them in the fridge and bring them out as needed.
One cool thing to do is have your blender out, the margarita basics (tequila, triple sec, sours mix, ice) and have a "buffet" of things people can put in their margarita. Some frozen berries, melon, concentrated juice mixes, let your guests have a ball.
u can do the old college thing and pour just about every type of booze you can think of into a bucket and some fruit and have folks get there own.......otherwise you are going to be playing bartender all night and not get to enjoy your party.
by the way what is that we used to call the big buckte of booze? some sort of punch. wow i must have drank to much back then to have forgotten already!
I can tell you from many, many drunken Navy parties. Keep it simple and cheap. Captain Morgan and coke and Screwdrivers (apple w/ raspberry is excellent)

You could ask everyone to bring 2 cups of there favorite fruit and have a fruit drink mixing contest? You just provide the rum and/or vodka and a blender.
Watermelon Cooler
This drink blends frozen watermelon cubes with frozen raspberry lemonade concentrate, lime juice and ice, then adds club soda (and vodka, if you wish.)Ingredients:
? 3 cups frozen watermelon cubes
? 2/3 cup frozen raspberry lemonade concentrate
? 2 tsp. lime juice
? 1 cup ice
? 1 c. sparkling water
? 3 to 4 T. vodka (optional)

Method:
Whirl together watermelon, ice, lemonade concentrate and lime juice until smooth. Add club soda and vodka and blend briefly until mixed. Serve immediately with lemon or lime slices as a garnish.
Notes:
Start the day before by freezing 1-inch cubes of watermelon on a tray (the sweeter the better!), then transferring them to a freezer bag until ready to use.
Number of servings: 3 large or 6 small
i was really bored at work one night (i was a bartender) so i started just throwing stuff together and i got a really good one...if you like creamy drinks.
this drink is a 1.5 oz drink
in a coctail glass filled with ice
3\4 oz malibu
3\4 oz banana liquour
pineapple juice
thin line of cream layered ontop
mmm...i love this drink but you cant get drunk on them cause the cream is so heavy but they are a great in between drink lol
