Not in that short of time, but over a longer period...YES

Heavy drinking can cause:

Irritation of the gum, tongue and oral tissues.

Poor healing after dental surgery.

Poor dental health habits.

Increase in tooth decay.

Poor compliance in home care to obtain good oral health.

Increases risk toward periodontal (gum) disease

Smoking and drinking are risk factors for higher incidence of tooth decay, periodontal disease and oral cancer.

yes it is bad for your whole body.

Yes

No..........

yea ofcourse. its not only bad for ur gums its bad for everything

na'll u should drinik it all da time

Probably not, unless you're drinking things with lots of sugar. Look at how much caffeine and sodas you've been having. Caffeine can suck the calcuim right out.

God I hope not!

Not directly but sometimes when I've had a heavy night I forget to do my teeth or do them too quickly.
ps. If your drinking cola mixes then yes

LIKE NO...DUHNESS!!!! LETS GO HAVE A DRINK SOMETIME IF YOUR EVER IN HOUSTON!

im thinking it is because i too have been drinking lots over the holidays...well just drinking lots in general and i notice that in the morning my teeth and gums are ultra sensitive

Alcohol is more damaging to your liver then your teeth. Try brushing daily and use floss as well. Gingivitis is a bacterial disease that leads to Periodontal Disease if not treated properly. Your best bet is to see a dentist.

Well; seeing as it can do your liver no good; it might be possible its doing the same to your gums..

Drinking alcohol is bad for your whole body, not to mention all the damage done to your brain and liver. Your liver will end up looking like a piece of dried up leather and then you will die.

I think it is. My mother's dental hygenist said once that alcoholics have some of the worst teeth/gums you will ever see. Another thing to remember is that Listerine and other mouthwashes are full of alcohol. This is why she was recommending my mother against using Listerine mouthwash, because she thought it was hard on people's gums. So if you're also using that stuff, you may want to quit.

Oh yes! I just found out recently that there is alot of sugar in alcholic drinks. It increases in Liquer by proof and varies among beers. The kicker is that if your like me you go out and drink you probally wont be thinking about oral hygiene by the end of the night . That increase the problem.

not unless your a alcholic. But if you drank alot of fruity drinks with alot of citrus acid then that could of done it. That happen to me after a cruise I was drinking alots of citrus drinks and got canker sores and bleeding gums

Well i like a good ol Bevvy, and my gums and teeth are ok. Are you drinking meths

sounds like a trip to the dentist is in order soon!

Did you just drink or did you throw up too! I know that the acid in the stomach can tear apart even the healthiest mouth. Trust me!

I wouls say drink plenty of water and maybe switch your toothpaste to something for sensitive teeth and gums. Something as little as that can work for you, if not ask the dentist, you could have a infection in your gums since alcohol lowers you immune system!

I don't take alcohol

no..

havent u seen the nurses and doctors using spirit to clean ur skin before they inject.

alcohol though bad on liver and stomach is a very good antiseptic.

its not only bad for ur gums,...
but it can damage ur BODY!!!....
don't drink to much or don't drink anymore...
u will get sick...
and u will have bad health...
stop drink...
