You'll see and recognize a lot of the same drinks as we drink up here in the U.S. & Canada (ex. classic margaritas, blue lagoons, cosmopolitans, etc.) I took a picture of the drink menu one of the resorts down there, besides the common ones here are a few that were different:

Tormenta Tropical (Rum, Vodka, Tequila, Gin, O.J, Pineapple and Cassis)

Atardecer Tropical (Vodka, Pineapple Juice, Peach Schnapps, O.J, grenadine, red wine)

Mayan Cataloup (Melon, Lime Juice and Xtabemtun)

Dona Isabel (Mayan liqueur with rum and milk)

Don't forget to try out the flavored tequilas which haven't really been introduced up here.

Surely juice of 'Wood Apple'. What else ;-)

When me and hubby were in Cancun I would love enjoying a Grasshopper down by the pool area.

Grasshopper
1 oz white creme de cacao
1 oz vodka
1/3 oz green creme de menthe
Vanilla Ice Cream
Shake briefly with three-quarters of a glassful of crushed ice. Serve with a short straw in an old-fashioned glass.

Cheers!

they still have ripple down there

The Waborita at Cabo Wabo

Waborita 1:
1 ounce fresh lime juice
1 ounce Cointreau
2 ounces Cabo Wabo tequila

Waborita 3:
1 ounce fresh lime juice
1 ounce triple sec
2 ounces Cabo Wabo tequila

Waborita 2:
1 ounce fresh lime juice
1 part Cabo Wabo tequila
3 parts soda (7-up, Sprite, etc.)

Waborita 4:
1 ounce fresh lime juice
1 ounce Cointreau
2 ounces Cabo Wabo tequila
Splash of Grand Marnier

Pour salt onto a small plate. Moisten the rim of a large margarita glass with a piece of lime, and dip the rim into the salt. Mix together ingredients in a shaker over ice, strain into the glass, and garnish with lime.

There was a place in Puerta Vallarta that had awesome margaritas for $1 but I don't remember what it was called.
