What grape is used in Cotes du Rhone wine?!

Question:

What grape is used in Cotes du Rhone wine?

Answers:
The famous Chateauneuf-du-Pape permits thirteen different varieties of grape, usually predominantly Grenache. Other red grapes are Cinsault, Counoise, Mourvèdre, Muscardin, Syrah, Terret Noir, and Vaccarèse. White grapes include Grenache Blanc, Bourboulenc, Clairette, Picardin, Roussanne, and Piquepoul. The trend has been to include fewer of the allowed white varieties, and to have just Grenache, Mourvedre, and Syrah. I was in the Cotes du Rhone last year at harvest time and the wines here are superb.
