I wanna try that patron tequila, but idk which one is better, the silver , a?ejo or the reposado one??!

Question: blanco ("white") or plata ("silver") – un-aged white spirit

reposado ("rested") – aged a minimum of two months, but less than a year in oak barrels

a?ejo ("aged" or "vintage") – aged a minimum of one year, but less than 3 years in oak barrels

maduro ("extra anejo", "extra aged" or "ultra aged") – aged a minimum of three years in oak barrels. This category was established in March 2006.

In my experience, the silver is good for taking shots, but it may have a bit of a bite.

The reposado is smoother with a hint of oak. This is a good multi-use tequila for sipping, mixing, or shooting.

The a?ejo is generally just used for sipping on, and a little mixing. Depending on how long it was aged and the condition of the barrels, this may taste more like a mixture of tequila and whiskey.

first difference is obviously in color. The silvers are clear and generally for shots or sipping. The Anejo's and Reposados have been aged in oak casks with Anejo's aged longer. This aging changes the color of the tequila and the flavor as well due to the tequila picking up hints of flavor from the oak. Reposados have become popular lately and maybe more expensive of the three. As far as which one is going to get you wasted faster, neither.. Personally I prefer silver tequilla.

Erich is really close, but the Resposado has been aged longer than the Anejo's.

Silver or White (Blanca) Tequila's are bottled immediately after making.

Anejo's are aged up to 1 year

Resposado's (Spanish for rested) are aged for at least 1 year.

Respo's are best for sipping not for mixing. Enjoy their flavor in a sophisticated manor. If you're just looking to get blotto, save some bucks and just go for the Blanca. But if you're looking for a finer quality drink, go for the Anejo.

Patron also makes an XO. It's infused with a coffee flavor. Quite tasty if you like to have a little variety.

Go to the liquor store and get the sample pack, it comes with a little bottle of all three types. You can try all three and decide for yourself which tastes better to you. That's a whole lot better than spending a lot of money on one you don't really love.

I just saw a bottle of Patron Platinum for $168 a bottle at Costco!
This must be the cheap stuff...
