1 kg. Sugar
1 kg. cherries
stick of cinnamon
Nutmeg
Pour the spirit (ca?a) in a jug. Add the sugar and the cherries and the cinnamon stick and the nutmeg. Close the jug and give it a good shake.
Leave it in a cool place for a year!

It is made in Galicia. It is a colourless spirit produced from the pressing of grapes after the most?? has been removed. It requires very slow distilling.

Preparation Time: A while!
Ingredients:
Aguardiente or Orujo
coffee beans
banana, apples and oranges for taste
sugar
You will also need a special earthenware bowl (similiar to a casserole but in glazed clay), and a wooden spoon like a chinese soup spoon only bigger.
Preparation:
Check you have all the ingredients.
Fill half the special earthenware bowl with the aguardiente.
Add sugar, coffee beans and slices of apple, banana and orange.
Stir using your special spoon.
Take a spoonful of aguardiente and sugar, light it and add to the bowl.
Stir around but also up and down until the alcohol is more or less burned off.
serve. If you have small dessert bowls, in clay, all the better.


Tips
You can use your own measures in all the ingredients. You can make a queimada to your own liking.
You can say the " Conxuro" while you are burning the alcohol.
It is a special drink for parties, social gatherings everywhere in Galicia; beaches, mountains, city, etc.

(Warning: This drink, usually has a VERY high alcohol content, don′t do anything silly while under it′s influence)
Sangria (Wine cocktail)
It′s a typical Spanish drink, it is perfect and fresh in summer.

See note for sangria for children* 1 chopped lemon
2 chopped oranges
2 chopped apples
2 litres of wine (red or black)
? litre of water
1 skin of an orange
1 skin of a lemon
Pour into a jug the wine and the water.
stir it. Put all the fruit and stir it.
Put ice and serve
Note: Sangria can also be made for children;
Use grape juice instead of red wine and add peeled grapes and a peach cut in cubes for added taste.
