Whats a really nice brandy that's not too too expensive, to buy for my guests.?!

Question:

Whats a really nice brandy that's not too too expensive, to buy for my guests.?

Answers:
What type of guests are you entertaining. If they are the type that will add ginger ale, then any old supermarket variety will do.

If they will drink the brandy neat, or with soda water, then Courvoisier, Martell or Hennessy will suffice. These are Cognac, as distinct from plain brandy.

Janneau Armagnac is a brandy from the Armagnac region that is, in my view, superior to the standard Cognacs, and can be bought for a quid or two more than the brands I have cited above.

If you plan to allow the wine to flow freely during the meal, then the quality of the brandy may not matter!

none are too expensive, all i love

There aren't really any nice ones that aren't expensive --in the UK!

So I'd stick to Courvoisier - everyone knows its a good brand and not as dear as Hennessey XXX

The only brandy I know of is Hennessy's. It's nice but pricy.

Corbel brandy, Hennessy, corvosiair, my spelling sucks. corbel is the cheapest but a good brand. I also like Christian Bros.

Use water and lemonade.

Try Stock 84, an Italian.

Courvoisier is the only one that my guests would get, anything else would just look CHEAPSKATish

Try Fundador or Sobrane. Spanish ones that are really smooth, and inexpensive.
Cheers

Courvoisier is the only brandy to offer to friends or drink yourself, anything less seems cheap and nasty.

There may be better ones i haven't tried but any cheaper ones will give a real bad aftertaste and a bad headache in the morning....

three barrels is a good basic french brandy. for quality cognac try louis royer or hine .

spanish sobrano premium. not a bad drink for about twelve quid a bottle. most supermarkets.

Christian Bros

Tescos brandy is fine.
