Should you drink gatorade or water?

which one would you drink on a day you go paintball?


Answers:
Water. Gatorade is nothing more than sugar water. It has some electrolytes it will temporarily increase your energy, but has no lasting energy effect. Gatorade is designed to pass through you quickly and unfortunately takes many of the necessary nutrients present in your system out. Though it boasts of hydration, it often dehydrates you because it robs your body of the essential elements in the water...plus you'll have to go to the bathroom a lot more. For paintball, definitely stick with water.

water's ALWAYS better, trust me.

water is always your best choice, but since you are going to an outdoor sport and you are going to sweat you can drink gatorade to hydrate your self

Water is best. Most of those sport drinks aren't that healthy for you anyways.

Probably Gatorade, because it does contain electrolytes, and those keep you going. You should also bring some food with protien, that will keep you going as well. Try a peanut butter sandwich or something, maybe even a meat sandwich, but bring an ice cooler to keep your food and drink cold.

i would say water because gaterade has chemicals(even though i love gaterade)

Gatorade would be best because it is more healthy than water it has protein and everything and Gatorade tastes better plus it gives you more energy

Drinks such as Gatorade and Powerade have added minerals that your body needs when you are working hard for a long period of time.

If you are sweating a lot and I mean A LOT, then you should go with gatorade. You would need to replace the salt ie electrolytes in your system, if you lose too many electrolytes and do not replace them you would have an imbalance, which would be bad, you know if you drank too much water it would dilute your fluids. Your electrical impulses need the salt to complete the electric "currents" in your fluids. However if your are not sweating perfusely then you are not in danger of losing too much of your electolytes, then water would be just fine. You could take both a large bottle of water and a small thing of gatorade if you are unsure of the conditions that day..

I would drink water because gatorade has lots of sugar.

water is better, gatorade is only good when cold. Throughout the day the gatorade will warm up and be nasty.

if i were you i would drink both.

Water unless you are working out and need the extra calories.

I recently heard that Gatorade is very corrosive on teeth enamel. It's water for me! Nothing beats it.
